THE Archbishop of Canterbury moved a debate on the appointment of Matthew Frost, the chief executive of Tearfund, to the Archbishops’ Council: “He will be incisive, thoughtful, and seldom comfortable.” Mr Frost, who will leave Tearfund in October, has previously worked for the Swiss aid agency Medair, the consultancy McKinsey, and the Department for Education. The motion was carried.
