100 poems to see you through

16 January 2015

DAISY GOODWIN has edited a small hardback anthology, 100 Poems to See You Through: Bright words for the darkest hours (Ebury Press, £10 (£9); 978-0-09195-817-6). The poets range from John Donne and Thomas Hardy to Wendy Cope and Carol Ann Duffy, and all the royalties are going to Maggie's, a charity that provides free practical, emotional, and social support for people with cancer. Every poem is chosen for its life-affirming quality. GP
