Speaker: the Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Glenn
Davies
THE Australian branch of the Global Fellowship of Confessing
Anglicans will be launched on 26 March, in Melbourne, by the
Archbishop of Sydney, Dr Glenn Davies, and the chairman of the
GAFCON Primates' Council, the Archbishop of Kenya, the Most Revd
Eliud Wabukala.
The launch will take place during a three-day Anglican Future
Conference organised by the Peter Corney Training Centre, which is
based at a leading Evangelical parish in Melbourne. The conference
has significant input from the diocese of Sydney. Both Archbishop
Davies and his predecessor are listed as speakers.
The Archdeacon of Melbourne, the Ven. Dr Richard Condie, who
chairs the board of the Australian branch of the Fellowship of
Confessing Anglicans (FCA), is quoted as saying that the FCA sought
to "promote a positive and vibrant orthodoxy", and "provide
fellowship and assistance to those who have been forced to
disaffiliate".
