LAURIE. - On 1 June, the Revd James Andrew Stewart Laurie: Vicar of Freehay (1961-65); Alstonefield (1965-71); Wetton (1965-71); Curate-in-Charge of Blore Ray and Okeover (1965-71); Calton (1966-71); Vicar of Charsfield with Debach and Monewden with Hoo (1983-86); Charlsfield with Debach, Monewden, Hoo, Dallinghoo and Letheringham (1986-90); aged 88.

MATTHEWS. - On 29 May, the Revd Peter Henry Matthews: Priest-in-Charge of Houghton (1967); Assistant Curate of Sholing, in charge of St Francis of Assisi (1967-69); Rector of Hilperton with Whaddon (1969-78); Priest-in-Charge of Staverton (1971-72); Vicar (1972-78); Priest-in-Charge of Milborne St Andrew with Dewlish (1978-87); aged 91.

MEIRION-JONES. - On 29 May, the Revd Huw Geraint (Gary) Meirion-Jones: Vicar of Ash Vale (1977-85); Team Rector in the Westborough Team Ministry (1985-96); Guildford Diocesan Press Officer (1985-94); Priest-in-Charge of Shere (1996-98); Albury with St Martha (1997-98); Rector of Shere, Albury and Chilworth (1998-2004); Hon. Canon of Guildford Cathedal (1999-2004); Diocesan Rural Adviser (1999-2003); Rural Dean of Cranleigh (2000-04); aged 75.

MORRIS. - On 24 May, the Revd Elizabeth Mary Morris: Parish Deaconess of St Mark's, Woodcote, Purley (1983-87); Parish Deacon of Littleham with Exmouth (1987-94); Hon. Assistant Curate (1994-96); aged 91.

RENSHAW. - On 18 April, the Revd Anthony Renshaw: Priest-in-Charge of Ainsdale (1990-91); Vicar (1991-98); Vicar of Singleton with Weeton (1998-2003); aged 74.

VIRTUE. - On 12 May, the Revd Thomas James Virtue: Rector of Tempo (1963-66); Glynn (1966-70); Team Vicar in the Ellesmere Port Team Ministry (1970-74); Team Minister in the Chester Team Ministry (1974-83); Vicar of Great Sutton (1983-97); aged 82.
