An exciting opportunity awaits you in the newly created rural ‘Benefice by the sea’, where the Spirit of the Lord is all around us in the lovely countryside of North Somerset on the outskirts of Weston-super-Mare. We are two friendly and welcoming Parishes, each with its own characteristics, but with ‘one heart’.
We are looking to welcome a Priest-in-Charge who understands the challenges of rural ministry and leading multiple parishes, and can creatively encourage and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds with the love of God in Jesus Christ.
The Lamp Group of parishes wish to appoint an Interim Priest-in-Charge to lead its four churches towards the proposed reorganisation of the Newport Deanery, preparing the benefice for its ministry and mission in the years to come.
This new benefice will bring together five parishes in urban and rural villages set in South Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District.
