From the Revd Dr Nigel Scotland

Sir, - The recent proposal to allow some women to sit separately from men at university lectures addressed by Muslim speakers sends a clear signal to this nation that not all women are treated as equals. This is a fundamental human right.

Surely this nation cannot allow any women to be treated in subservient ways in any of the nation's public buildings or spaces.
