From the Ven. Robin Turner
Sir, - Your report (Real Life, 22 August) of the closing of the Convent of the Community of St Laurence in Southwell was accurate, save in one important respect. Though the convent building has been handed over to the Reach organisation, two members of the community remain.

Sister Dorothea, who was pictured in the item, lives still in Southwell, as you reported. The other surviving member is Sister Margarita Mary. She has just celebrated her 103rd birthday and resides in a care home near by. Technically, therefore, the Community still exists.
