Boy on murder charge

28 March 2014

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with the murder of 15-year-old Shereka Marsh, who died on Saturday afternoon after being shot at a birthday party at a house in Hackney Wick, London. Two weeks ago, she was chosen to give the Jamaican High Commissionera tour of the C of E Aided Urswick School, where she was a pupil (above, third from right).

On Sunday, the headmaster, Richard Brown, said: "You couldn't have a more innocent victim. . . Shereka was a bright, able student, and was on track to be really successful in her GCSEs. She was a great role-model for other younger students. She would not knowingly be involved with anything that would have contributed to her death."
