Cleansed face: an image of Jesus carrying the cross, from the
16th-century Flemish Herkenrode glass in Lichfield Cathedral, newly
restored and awaiting reinstallation in the Lady chapel.
The glass was removed for preservation in 2010, and work is
scheduled for completion in 2015. The current conservation included
adjustments to leads in the windows (below), added in the
1890s.
