David John Banfield: Chaplain of Scargill Conference House, Kettlewell (1962-65); Assistant Warden (1965-67); Vicar of St Mary Magdalene's, Addiscombe (1967-80); St Mary's, Luton (1980-90); Rural Dean of Luton and Hon. Canon of St Albans Cathedral (1989-90); Archdeacon of Bristol and Hon. Canon of Bristol Cathedral (1990-98); aged 81.

BROOMFIELD. - On 17 October, the Revd David John Broomfield: Assistant Curate of Rainham, in charge of St John and St Matthew, South Hornchurch (1971-77); Rector of High Ongar with Norton Mandeville (1977-88); Rural Dean of Ongar (1983-88); Priest-in-Charge of Stanford Rivers (1984-86); St Mary the Virgin and St Michael and All Angels, Loughton (1988-95); St Mary the Virgin, Loughton (1995-97); Vicar (1997-2003); aged 77.

GUMMER. - On 6 October, the Revd Dudley Harrison Gummer: Curate-in-Charge of St Hilda's Conventional District, East Goscote (1968-75); Vicar of East Goscote (1975-78); St Anne's, Luton (1978- 88); Rector of Albury with St Martha (1988-95); aged 86.

KEMP. - On 17 October, the Revd Geoffrey Bernard Kemp: Vicar of St Laurence's, Barkingside (1949-60); St Barnabas's, Hadleigh (1960-78); Rector of Kelvedon Hatch and Vicar of Navestock (1979-86); aged 93.
