Katibeh 5, a Palestinian hip-hop group from the Bourj el-Barajneh refugee camp in Lebanon, performing at Gather for Gaza, at St Barnabas, Walthamstow, in east London, on Saturday.

The event, featuring musicians from Syria, Morocco, Iran, and elsewhere, raised more than £5600 for Medical Aid for Palestinians.

The Vicar of St Barnabas, Canon Steven Saxby, said: "The medical infrastructure of Gaza is in chaos, and the suffering there is immense."

A truce between Israel and Palestinian fighters in Gaza ended on Tuesday, after new air strikes, which Israel said were a response to rocket fire.
