Fathers stage rights protest in Exeter

TWO members of the relaunched protest group Fathers 4 Justice climbed up Exeter Cathedral on Father's Day last Sunday, and hung a banner condemning family courts. A spokesman for the group, Rich Adams, said that they were demanding the same custody rights as mothers. The cathedral was targeted because judges were attending a service at the time. 
 

Church welcomes under-achievers report

A PARLIAMENTARY report into why white working-class boys often under-achieve at school has been welcomed by the Church of England. The C of E's chief education officer, the Revd Jan Ainsworth, said that the report correctly identified how complex the issue was, and she said that the Church was putting additional resources into church schools which served particularly poor areas.
