Fathers stage rights protest in Exeter
TWO members of the relaunched protest group Fathers 4 Justice
climbed up Exeter Cathedral on Father's Day last Sunday, and hung a
banner condemning family courts. A spokesman for the group, Rich
Adams, said that they were demanding the same custody rights as
mothers. The cathedral was targeted because judges were attending a
service at the time.
Church welcomes under-achievers report
A PARLIAMENTARY report into why white working-class boys often
under-achieve at school has been welcomed by the Church of England.
The C of E's chief education officer, the Revd Jan Ainsworth, said

she said that the Church was putting additional resources into
church schools which served particularly poor areas.
