Rain on a grave

Sir, - Regretfully, for the second time in ten years (not bad, that), I have to correct Ronald Blythe's knowledge of Hardy. My recollection is that we know nothing of Tess's grave (Word from Wormingford, 12 September). It is, I think, Fanny's grave, in Far From the Madding Crowd, that suffers the wounding splash?
