TWELVE sheep have managed to lose themselves somewhere in the
shops of Wakefield, now in the diocese of West Yorkshire
& the Dales. Children are being asked to help find
them, and bring them back to the cathedral in time for
Christmas.
The scheme was launched by the Dean, the Very Revd Jonathan
Greener, and the Mayor of Wakefield, Councillor Sanda Pickin
(right); and there is a leaflet to help on the Messy
Cathedral Nativity Sheep Trail, on which - when anyone finds a
knitted sheep - he or she can write its name and post it in the
cathedral prize-draw box. Prizes include a family ticket to Canon
Hall Farm this Christmas.
