In their prime: a Church Lads' Brigade parade in Howard Gardens,
Cardiff, outside Eglwys Dewi Sant - an Anglican church for
Welsh-speakers commissioned in 1891 from the architect Bruce
Vaughan, and, unusually, furnished with an immersion font. The
church was destroyed by enemy action in 1941. This is one of the
