Early light: an image of a clean-shaven Jesus on a glass plate,
which archaeologists believe dates back to the fourth century. He
is pictured with short curly hair, no beard, and wearing a
philosopher's toga. He is flanked by two apostles. The plate was
found during an archaeological dig in the ancient remains of the
town of Castulo, in Andalucía. The find has made scientists "review
the chronology of early Christianity in Spain", the director of the
archaeology project, Marcelo Castro, told the newspaper El
Mundo
