A PRIVATE member's motion calling for the General Synod to be held in Armagh until a more cost-effective and accessible alternative venue can be found has been passed at the Synod.

Joan Bruton (Meath & Kildare), who proposed it, said that 2014 was the final year of the contract with Christ Church Cathedral, and that in 2015 the Synod would meet in the Armagh City Hotel.
