The Bishop of Chichester is seeking a priest-in-charge of this rural benefice, situated in a scenic part of East Sussex near to the towns of Battle and Hastings. We have recently combined into a single parish (ER 83) and are actively engaged with the life of our villages. Worship, in the broadly central tradition of the Church of England, takes place in both churches each Sunday.
The Fellows of Corpus Christi College Oxford, the Fellows of the Queen’s College Oxford and the Diocesan Board of Patronage wish to appoint a Rector for the Ridgeway Benefice.
In glorious open country in the heart of England, the Culworth Benefice embraces three villages and one hamlet with a population of around 1600. The parishes work well together and support each other. South Northamptonshire is one of England’s little known treasures and is markedly rural, with ancient villages in addition to market towns. The villages are warm and hospitable places. People view the Rector and the Church as essential parts of the fabric of life.
