Kearon elected Bishop of Limerick

CHURCH OF IRELAND

THE Secretary-General of the Anglican Communion (ACC), the Revd Kenneth Kearon, was elected Bishop of Limerick, Killaloe & Ardfert on Monday, to succeed the Rt Revd Trevor Williams, who has retired.

Canon Kearon, aged 61, is a native of Dublin, and has served the ACC since 2005. He is a former director of the Irish School of Ecumenics. Among other appointments, he is a Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, and an Hon. Provincial Canon of Canterbury Cathedral.
