A Lebanese woman holds a poster showing an Italian Jesuit priest, Fr Paolo Dall'Oglio, who was kidnapped in Syria in July 2013 (News, 2 August 2013). The poster was on display during a vigil at St Joseph's, Beirut, calling for his release. Known as an opponent of the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, Fr Dall'Oglio was expelled in 2012 from Syria, where he had lived for 30 years
