Dazzling: a mitre created in 1713 to crown the reliquary used in ceremonial processions commemorating St Januarius, the patron saint of Naples, is one of the most valuable of the 70 items of "The Treasure of St Januarius", now on display in Rome. Jewels and religious artefacts were donated in devotion to the third-century saint over several centuries, and were previously kept in a vault at Naples Cathedral. The exhibition is at the Palazzo Sciarra, Rome, until 16 February
