CHOLERA has been confirmed in Mozambique, where more than
290,000 people have been affected by torrential rains. A
representative of UNICEF has told news agencies that the waterborne
disease has affected nearly 300 people in three districts in
northern Mozambique.
The country was affected by a flood surge in January, in which
about 100 people were killed. About 150,000 people are still living
in makeshift camps after being displaced from their homes.
