BYERS. - On 1 March, the Revd Christopher Martin Byers: Rector of Mottingham (1966-86); Team Rector in the Thamesmead Team Ministry (1986-99); Hon. Canon of Southwark Cathedral (1996-2000); Assistant Curate in the Thamesmead Team Ministry (1999-2000); aged 79.
ENTWISTLE. - In January, the Revd Howard Rodney Entwistle: Vicar of St Martin's, Wythenshawe (1966-73); Rector of St Matthew's, Stretford, Manchester (1973-99); 76.
HALL. - On 25 February, the Revd Alan Maurice Frank Hall: NSM of Winterbourne Stickland, Turnworth, Winterbourne Houghton, Winterbourne Whitechurch, and Winterbourne Clenston (1989-97); aged 85.
KINGCOME. - On 24 February, the Revd John Parken Kingcome: Curate-in-Charge of Woodborough with Manningford Bohune and Beechingstoke (1970-74); Vicar of Swanborough (1972-74); Team Rector in the Swanborough Team Ministry (1974-79); Rural Dean of Pewsey (1975-84); Custos of St John's Hospital, Heytesbury (1979- 84); aged 94.
LUCAS. - On 3 March, the Revd John Maxwell Lucas: Vicar of St Aidan's, Blackburn (1968-72); Sparkhill (1972-78); Chaplain to the Forces (Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve) since 1973; Vicar of St Augustine's, Edgbaston (1978-85); Vicar of Slyne with Hest (1985-89); Chaplain of HM Young Offender Institution Stoke Heath (1989-93); aged 79.
ROM. - On 24 February, the Revd Norman Charles Rom: Chaplain of HM Prison Canterbury (1971-74); Pentonville (1974-85); Stocken (1985-87); Priest-in-Charge of Empingham (1985-87); Rector of Empingham and Exton with Horn with Whitwell (1987-94); aged 88.
