Dean to retire

THE Very Revd Nicholas Frayling, Dean of Chichester since 2002, will retire on 28 February next year. Before his present appointment, he had held posts in Southwark diocese from 1971 to 1983, and in Liverpool diocese thereafter.

 

AXFORD. The Revd Robert Axford, Vicar of Wotton-under-Edge with Ozleworth, North Nibley and Alderley, and Hon. Canon of Gloucester Cathedral, to be also Chair of the Bishop's Worship, Prayer and Spirituality Group (Gloucester).

DAVIES. The Revd Barry Davies, Chaplain of Avon and Somerset Constabulary, now also Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Mells with Buckland Dinham, Elm, Whatley, Vobster and Chantry (Bath & Wells).

GREENFIELD. The Revd Diana Greenfield, Assistant Curate of Glastonbury with Meare, now Avalon Pioneer Minister in Glastonbury with Meare and in Street with Walton (Bath & Wells).

HYDE. The Revd Jacqueline Hyde, NS Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) in the South Cheltenham Team Ministry, to be also Diocesan Ecumenical Officer (Gloucester).

ISAACSON. The Revd Hilda Isaacson, Assistant Curate of Deepcar (Sheffield), to be Priest-in-Charge.

KING. The Revd David King, formerly Vicar of Middle Esk Moor, to be Vicar of St Martin with St Cuthbert, Middlesbrough (York).

LOWTHER. The Revd Kareen Lowther, Team Vicar in the Bloxwich Team Ministry, to be Team Vicar of Dunston with Coppenhall, in the Penkridge Team Ministry, remaining Wolverhampton Area Representative for Women's Ministry, (Lichfield).

McKEON. The Revd Linda McKeon, OLM of Gentleshaw (Lichfield), to be NSM (Associate Minister).

MARTLEW. The Revd Andrew Martlew, formerly Chaplain to the Forces, now Vicar of Womersley (Wakefield).

PIKE. The Revd Amanda Pike, Priest in Charge of Elmton, and of Whitwell (Derby), to be Priest in Charge of Cheddleton, and of Horton, Longsdon and Rushton Spencer (Lichfield).

POOLE. The Revd Dr Ian Poole, Team Vicar in the Bushbury Team Ministry (Lichfield), to be Team Vicar (Acting Team Rector).

STOCKING. The Revd Clifford Stocking, Assistant Curate of Hadlow (Rochester), to be Priest-in-Charge of St Wendreda's and of St John's, March (Ely).

TOOGOOD. The Revd Gillian Toogood, formerly Assistant Curate in the Brentford Team Ministry, now Interim Priest of the Good Shepherd, Hounslow (London).

WALES

WOOD. The Revd Robert Wood, Team Vicar in Llanelli Rectorial Benefice (St Davids), to be Vicar of Bro Madryn (Bangor).

SCOTLAND

COKE. The Revd Robert Coke, formerly Team Rector in the Loughrigg Team Ministry, and Hon. Canon of Carlisle Cathedral (Carlisle), now Priest in the South West Charge (Moray, Ross & Caithness).

OVERSEAS

STOW. The Revd John Stow, Hon. Assistant Curate (Associate Priest) of Somerton with Compton Dundon, the Charltons and Kingsdon (Bath & Wells), to be Priest-in-Charge of Holy Trinity Church, Hamilton Parish, Bermuda (Bermuda).

LAY APPOINTMENTS

COTTRELL. Matthew Cottrell to be Licensed Lay Worker of St Oswald's, Gloucester (Gloucester).
