Christchurch cathedral set for demolition

Campaigners determined to save Christchurch Cathedral in New Zealand have failed in their legal action to prevent its demolition. Church Property Trustees, who own the cathedral, won their case in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal, and the campaigners have been declined leave to appeal to the Supreme Court, paving the way for the final demolition of the cathedral.
