NOT turkey and Christmas pudding, but lasagne, followed by
pavlova, was the menu for the annual Christmastide lunch in
Chester diocese for some of the ordinands
sponsored by the diocese.
They, with their spouses, were invited to lunch at Bishop's
House by the Bishop of Chester, Dr Peter Forster; the Bishop of
Stockport, the Rt Revd Robert Atwell; and the Bishop of Birkenhead,
the Rt Revd Keith Sinclair. "We all had a relaxed lunch, with lots
of opportunities to chat and mingle," Dr Forster said. "It is so
encouraging to see, year after year, people of such high quality
coming forward for training to the ordained ministry."
