From the Bishop of Sheffield
Sir, - We are deeply grateful to Church Times readers for once again contributing very generously to the Train-A-Priest Fund appeal.

We are greatly heartened by the support that exists for our ordinands, as demonstrated by the fact that, despite the current economic conditions, Christians across the country have raised a further £71,709, which will go directly to ordinands as they prepare for their future ministries.

Not only is this a great encouragement to them, but it is of real and vital practical help during their training.

The generosity is a sign of the value the Church continues to place on its clergy and their initial formation and support. It will be of enormous practical benefit to those who receive grants from the funds.

Praying God's blessing on all your readers.
