Thanks to Bradford Grammar

WHEN the people at St Paul's, Manningham, in Bradford diocese, decided that they needed to brighten up the rather colourless entrance to their church, where the font stands, they turned to Bradford Grammar School for help. And a magnificent archangel was the result (above).

"Louise Hepworth-Wood, from the art department, came along to the church and drew up the design," the Revd Alistair Helm says. The design was then divided into squares, and painted individually by the students from Class 1ET, before being assembled into an impressively large display.

They produced "a wonderfully colourful banner that will adorn our entrance", Mr Helm says. "We're really appreciative of their help."
