Breakfast in a good cause

28 March 2013

ONE of the groups hosting an Easter Breakfast this year in support of the Christian charity Mercy Ships will be the Women's Own group at St Mary's, Saffron Walden, in Chelmsford diocese. One of the organisers, Judith Felgate, said: "When we heard about the Easter Breakfast campaign, we decided it would make an excellent opportunity to highlight the work of Mercy Ships, and make an extra-special breakfast to raise money to support the charity's wonderful work."

Besides watching a DVD of the charity's work taking hospital ships to provide free medical care and humanitarian aid to some of the poorest countries of Africa, they will also have various fund-raising activities, such as "Name the bunny", cake and bring-and-buy stalls, and a raffle, all with an Easter theme.
