New archdeacon

THE next Archdeacon of Northampton, in Peterborough diocese, is to be the Revd Richard Ormston, Rector of Oundle with Ashton and Benefield with Glapthorn since 2001, and Hon. Canon of Peterborough Cathedral since 2003. He has held posts in the diocese since 1991.

 

BAKKER. The Revd Jane Bakker, NSM of Sholing, to be also Area Dean of Southampton (Winchester).

BARRETT. The Revd Alastair Barrett, Priest-in-Charge of Hodge Hill (Birmingham), to be Rector.

BARTER. The Revd Michael Barter, Priest-in-Charge of St Andrew's, Hove, now Priest-in-Charge of Graffham with Woolavington, and Chaplain of Seaford College (Chichester).

BIRKETT. The Revd Christine Birkett, NSM (Associate Priest) of Rodborough, and of the Stanleys and Selsley, to be half-time Priest-in-Charge of Upton St Leonards (Gloucester).

BROXHAM. The Revd Ann Broxham, NS Parish Deacon of Littleport (Ely), to be house-for-duty Parish Deacon of Crosland Moor and Linthwaite (Wakefield).

CAMPBELL. The Revd Hilary Campbell, Team Vicar in the Kidlington with Hampton Poyle Team, to be Vicar of Shires' Edge (Oxford).

CAPIE. The Revd Fergus Capie, formerly Vicar of St Anne's, Brondesbury, with Holy Trinity, Kilburn (London), to be Priest-in-Charge of the Bure Valley Benefice (Norwich).

DI CASTIGLIONE. The Revd James di Castiglione, Chaplain of the Sir Robert Woodard Academy, Lancing, now Rector of Ashington, Washington and Wiston with Buncton (Chichester).

CHOLDCROFT. The Revd Graham Choldcroft, NSM in the Thame Team Ministry, to be NS Associate Priest, remaining Chaplain of the Thames Valley Police Force (Oxford).

COOK. The Revd James Cook, Assistant Curate of the Walbury Beacon Benefice (Oxford), to be house-for-duty Assistant Curate of Totland Bay (Portsmouth).

CORNE. The Revd Ronald Corne, Area Dean of Romsey, to be Assistant Area Dean, remaining Rector of Broughton with Bossington and Houghton and Mottisfont (Winchester).

DRAPER. The Revd John Draper, Rector of Rowner, and Area Dean of Gosport, to be also Hon. Canon of Portsmouth Cathedral (Portsmouth).

EDSON. The Revd Benedict Edson, Team Vicar in the Didsbury Team Ministry (Manchester), to be Associate Rector.

ELSTON. The Revd Anthea Elston, NSM of Berrow with Pendock, Eldersfield, Hollybush and Birtsmorton (Worcester), to be NS Associate Priest.

EVANS. The Revd Judith Evans, Priest-in-Charge of Kells, and Chaplain of North Cumbria University Hospitals and Acute Hospitals NHS Trusts (Carlisle), to be Vicar of St Alban with the Ascension, Northampton (Peterborough).

GRANTHAM. The Revd Michael Grantham, formerly Priest-in-Charge of Peakirk with Glinton and Northborough (Peterborough), to be house-for-duty Assistant Curate in the Wheatley Team (Oxford).

TURNER. The Revd Mark Turner, Rector of Areley Kings, to be also Rural Dean of Stourport (Worcester).

WITHDRAWAL OF ACCEPTANCE

WALKER. The Revd Paul Walker has withdrawn his acceptance of the post of Priest-in-Charge (Vicar designate) of Wyther (Ripon & Leeds).
