Giving battle in vain

From Mr Alan Lewin

Sir, - As the PCC treasurer of an impoverished church, struggling to make ends meet, I was appalled to read that Leicester Cathedral is prepared to spend £1 million on interring the remains of Richard III (News, 23 August), a sum that would pay our parish share and utilities bill for the next 50 years.

This man incarcerated two small boys in the Tower of London, and was, allegedly, responsible for their murder. Will Dr Sentamu be reading his "file" before offering an alternative interment in York Minster?
