Reclaiming terms: two five-foot banners knitted by the artist
Lorna Hamilton-Brown, depicting current text-speak. The artist
chose "yarn-colours associated with Romney Marsh: Holly Berry,
Mallard Green, Anemone, Sky, Hellebore, Damselfly, Natural fleece
and black with a hint of russet like the black on a sheep dog." The
hangings were inspired by stained-glass windows by Leonard Walker,
in All Saints', Lydd, and were displayed there as part of the "Art
in Romney Marsh" festival, until last weekend.
