CLARKE. - On 23 July, the Revd Geoffrey Clarke: Vicar of St Paul's, Northumberland Heath, Erith, since 2005; aged 60.

DAVIES. - On 7 August, the Rt Revd Roy Thomas Davies: Vicar of Llanafan-y-Trawscoed with Gwnnws (1964-67); Assistant Curate of Aberystwyth (1967-69); Anglican Chaplain of the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth (1967-73); Team Vicar in Aberystwyth Rectorial Benefice (1969-73); Secretary of the Provincial Council for Mission and Unity (1973-79); Vicar of St David's, Carmarthen (1979-83); Archdeacon of Carmarthen (1982-85); Vicar of Llanegwad with Llanfynydd (1983-85); Bishop of Llandaff (1985-99); aged 79.

FREEMAN. - On 7 August, the Revd Margaret Anne Freeman: Hon. Parish Deacon of Malborough with South Huish, West Alvington and Churchstow (1987-94); Hon. Assistant Curate (1994-96); aged 86.

GRANT. - On 9 August, the Revd Arthur Glyndŵr Webber Grant: Assistant Curate of Paignton, in charge of St Boniface's (1963-68); Good Shepherd, Preston (1968-76); Moulsecoomb (1976-80); Priest-in-Charge of Wartling, and Chaplain of HM Prison Northeye (1980-1983); Assistant Curate of Seaford with Sutton (1983-87); Sub-Chaplain of HM Prison Lewes (1986-92); aged 85.

TONG.- On 20 July, the Revd Peter Laurence Tong: Curate-in-Charge of St Saviour's, Liverpool (1956-59); Chaplain of Blackburn and East Lancashire Royal Infirmary, and of Park Lee Hospital (1963-65); Vicar of the Church of the Saviour, Blackburn (1959-65); St Andrew with St Matthias, Islington (1965-75); Welling (1975-82); Team Rector in the Bedworth Team Ministry (1982-94); Hon. Canon of Coventry Cathedral (1988-94); Hon. Canon of Chile since 1989; aged 84.

VIRGO. - On 6 August, the Revd Leslie Gordon Virgo: Chaplain of Warlingham Park Hospital (1965-73); Rector of Chelsfield (1974-2011); Diocesan Adviser on Pastoral Care and Counselling (1974-2011); Hon. Canon of Rochester Cathedral 1983-2011); aged 88.
