Garden suburbs?

From the Revd Ernest Osman
Sir, - From what I hear (although I have not seen many), bishops' gardens are usually on the large side, often covering several acres.

What a gesture it would be to all those couples wanting houses, if the larger ones were reduced and developed for low-cost housing. This could be done, I am sure, very tastefully, and in such a way that privacy was maintained for the bishop. Is this completely beyond the realms of possibility?
