From Elaine Bishop
Sir, - A lesbian couple were indignant when told by a Church of England priest the strange fact that "no child could have two mothers" (News, 6 September). And a clever archdeacon has found a solution, so that all shall have prizes.

So now we have the words "family", "marriage", "mother", and "father" all emasculated, as each becomes a matrix into whichcan be droppedany meaningthat suits a Godless state and a large part of a foolish national Church. Has no one pondered the consequences?
