I AM not sure about any
chocolate, but the parish of Hinchley Wood, in
Guildford diocese, came up with an original idea
for an Advent calendar during December. Twenty-four families each
chose a Christmas carol and a date for their "window" to open. With
an A3 piece of mountboard and a string of fairy lights, each family
contributed to a vibrant and diverse Advent calendar around the
parish, the Revd Caroline Mullins says.
The "window" for 23 December was a particularly lively example,
and the final one was opened in St Christopher's on Christmas
morning.
