The next Archdeacon of Stoke, in Lichfield diocese, is to be the Revd Matthew Parker, Team Rector in the Leek and Meer­brook Team Ministry, in that diocese, since 2000, and Rural Dean of Leek since 2007. Before 2000, he had held appoint­ments in Stockport, in Chester diocese, since 1991.

THE Rt Revd Martin Wallace, Suffragan Bishop of Selby, in York diocese, since 2003, will retire on 30 November. Before his present appointment, he had held posts in Chelmsford diocese since 1977.

ADAMS. The Revd Alison Adams, Chaplain of HM Young Offender Institution Glen Parva, to be Diocesan and Cathedral Social Responsibility Enabler (Leicester).
ASHTON. The Revd Mary Ashton, Assistant Curate of Whitewater (Winchester), to be Vicar of All Saints', Guildford (Guildford).
