The Bishop of Chichester is seeking a priest-in-charge of this rural benefice, situated in a scenic part of East Sussex near to the towns of Battle and Hastings. We have recently combined into a single parish (ER 83) and are actively engaged with the life of our villages. Worship, in the broadly central tradition of the Church of England, takes place in both churches each Sunday.
Fantastically located close to the bustling Ipswich Waterfront, we are three congregations now meeting as one who have a heart for God, a heart for mission and a heart for our community.

St James’s Church is offering places for 4 singing scholars (2 Sopranos, 1 Alto, 1 Tenor) and 2 instrumental scholars for the academic year October 2022-July 2023. These scholarships may be of particular interest to students.
