Prayer en masse: Wembley Stadium hosted more than 32,000 Christians at the National Day of Prayer and Worship on Saturday, organised by Global Day of Prayer London. The theme was the Lord's Prayer; the day began with thanksgiving for the 17-year-old vision of the convener, Dr Jonathan Oloyede, a convert from Islam. The artists included Tim Hughes, Matt Redman, and Graham Kendrick (below). Prayers were offered for the mission of Operation Christmas Child ( News, 28 September), and for the billion people going hungry in the world.
