Archdeacon retires

THE Ven. Randolph Thomas, Archdeacon of Brecon since 2003, and Priest-in-Charge of Llanfrynach and Cantref with Llanhamlach, in Swansea & Brecon diocese, since 2006, will retire on 31 January. Before those appointments, he had held posts in St Davids diocese.
 

BLACKBURN. The Revd Helen Blackburn, Chaplain of Willowbrook Hospice, Prescot, to be Team Rector in East Widnes Team (Liverpool).

BROWN. The Revd Penelope Brown, Canon Emeritus of Southwark Cathedral (Southwark), to be NSM of St Mary's, Woodbridge (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

DURHAM. The Revd Jane Durham, Priest-in-Charge of Hunts Cross, now Team Vicar in the Halewood and Hunts Cross Team Ministry (Liverpool).

HAWKINS. The Revd John Hawkins, Vicar of St John's, West Hendon, and Priest-in-Charge of St Matthias's, Colindale, to be also Bishop's Missioner for King's Cross (London).

HULME. The Revd Alan Hulme, Team Rector in the Ely Team Ministry (Ely), to be Director of the Parish Development and Evangelism Team (Guildford).

JACKSON. The Revd Cuthbert Jackson, OLM of St Paul's, Skelmersdale, to be also Chaplain of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust (Liverpool).

JEWELL. The Revd Alan Jewell, Team Rector in the Halewood Team Ministry, now Team Rector in the Halewood and Hunts Cross Team Ministry (Liverpool).

JONES. The Revd Raymond Jones, NSM of Farnworth, to be house- for-duty Assistant Priest in the East Widnes Team Ministry (Liverpool).

McCORMACK. The Revd Ian McCormack, Assistant Curate of Horbury with Horbury Bridge, to be Vicar of Grimethorpe with Brierley (Wakefield).

MANSELL. The Revd Carol Mansell, NSM of Rattlesden with Thorpe Morieux, Brettenham and Hitcham, to be Priest-in-Charge of Monks Eleigh with Chelsworth and Brent Eleigh with Milden and Kettlebaston, and Joint World Development Adviser (St Edmundsbury & Ipswich).

MAYBURY. The Revd Paul Maybury, Vicar of Ossett and Gawthorpe, and Rural Dean of Dewsbury, to be also Hon. Canon of Wakefield Cathedral (Wakefield).

WILLIAMS. The Revd Derwyn Williams, Rector of Sandy, to be Vicar of St Michael's, Bishop's Stortford (St Albans).

WALES

BLAGDEN. The Revd Susan Blagden, Rector of Bangor Monachorum, Worthenbury and Marchwiel, to be Vicar of Bro Enlli (Aberdaron and Llanfaelrhys and Llanbedrog with Llannor and Llangian) (Bangor).

AIR TRAINING CORPS

The following to be Hon. Chaplains: the Revd Edward Lewis (Kenton and Kingsbury Squadron); the Revd Adrian Teare (Totten- ham Squadron); the Revd Matthew Trick (Port Talbot Squadron); the Revd Michael Tufnell (East Barnet Squadron); the Revd Susan Vallente-Kerr (City of Rochester Squadron); the Revd Peter Wyatt (Selsdon Squadron).

LAY APPOINTMENTS

ARLOW. Ruth Arlow, Deputy Chancellor, to be Chancellor (Norwich).

POWELL. John Powell now Chancellor (Birmingham).

STAFFORD. Christel Stafford to be Diocesan Lay Worker, and Senior Community Development Worker in the Kirkby Team Ministry (Liverpool).
