by
14 June 2012

A FORMER West Australian Anglican priest who became a bishop in the Traditional Anglican Communion is to be reordained in St Mary’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, Perth, today, when the Australian Ordinariate is inaugurated, writes Muriel Porter, Australia Correspondent.

The newspaper The Australian reports that Bishop Harry Entwistle, aged 72, will be the first priest for the Ordinariate, and speculates that he may be appointed its head.

Bishop Entwistle was a UK prison chaplain before becoming a rector and archdeacon in Perth. It is believed that most of his current Perth TAC parish will also join the Ordinariate.
