It was cloudy for most of last weekend, which suited a General Synod overshadowed by the women-bishops vote. In the end - though, of course, it's not the end - the Synod voted by exactly a two-thirds majority to adjourn the final vote until November, by which time the House of Bishops will have reconsidered the Measure and the amendments it made in May.

The Bishop of Gloucester seeks to appoint a Priest in Charge for Winchcombe, an historic, vibrant town (eight miles north of Cheltenham), which has its own clear identity born out of a broad demographic with genuine working roots.
This united benefice of four villages (combined population of just over 3,000) to the east of Swindon is looking for a house for duty priest, with a time commitment equivalent to three days a week including Sunday duty.
