From the Revd Stuart Brace
Sir, - I am encouraged by Anthony Wilson's story (Features, 14 September). As one of the longest survivors of Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma - more than 30 years- I have found that other people's prayers have sustained me during some very traumatic moments.

It has always been reassuring to know that various people in different parts of the world are praying for me so that my prayer life can be simple and focused. My daily prayer is:"Lord, I am not worthy to receive you; but say the word and I shall be healed."

I would encourage Anthony Wilson to move on from being a patient to a poet - now rather than later!
