TAP giving never easier

23 March 2011

THE Chancellor was keen to make giving to charity easier in his Budget speech on Wednesday. It has never been easier to give to the Church Times Lenten appeal for the support of the next generation of priests: the Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund.

Since 1951 the TAP Fund has helped to support ordinands and their families. In that time, readers have donated more than £9 million, if reckoned by today’s prices. Nothing is kept back for administration: every penny goes to support those in training for the priesthood, many of whom have made great sacrifices.

HOW TO GIVE: The easiest method for all concerned is to use the website: www.hymnsam.co.uk/train-a-priest. A Gift Aid declaration can be made online. Otherwise, please send cheques or CAF vouchers, with the attached form, to: TAP Fund, Church Times, 13a Hellesdon Park Road, Norwich NR6 5DR. If you would like an acknowledgement, please enclose an SAE.
