Schizophrenia: keep it medical

Sir, — Kirsty Smith (Interview, 16 September) is quoted as saying: “at the moment I’m completely schizophrenic.”

Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness of which I have experience, and in my opinion should not be referred to in other than a medical context. Used lightly, it causes grave offence.
