Thanks for your generosity, TAP supporters

17 June 2009

From the Bishop of Norwich

Sir, — I am writing to say how grateful I am to your readers for their support of the Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund in its 2009 Lenten appeal, the result of which was announced earlier this month (News, 5 June).

With so many other calls made upon our giving, it is immensely encouraging that this valuable help is found and made available through the TAP Fund to support those with a vocation to the ordained ministry.

I would also like to thank your staff for organising the appeal. Every penny raised will be used in grants made to assist ordinands and their families.
