Carbon-14 dating has confirmed that an ivory diptych showing the nativity and the Last Judgement was made in the . Earlier it had been thought to be a 19th-century forgery. The work will be on display from next week at the Courtauld Gallery in London, part of the exhibition “Medieval Ivories from the Thompson Collection”, until 9 March
