Religious rockers can praise on screen

GODLY guitarists need fret no more, as they can now rock along to the sounds of Christian bands in a new musical computer game.

Guitar Praise is similar to the popular game, Guitar Hero, in which players press buttons on a plastic guitar, accompanying their favourite songs and following lyrics and instructions on their computer screen.

The Christian artists featured on Guitar Praise include dc Talk, Chris Tomlin, the Newsboys, and Josh Bates. The game has already proved very successful in the United States, where its website has received messages of support from Christian parents who prefer its content over secular rivals.

The game’s website says that reading the lyrics on screen helps to reinforce the Christian message to players. “You’ll soon be rockin’ with the best while praising the Lord!”

The game will be available in the UK through Authentic Media from December.
