During a short service, dioceses and parishes that were suffering from division were named. This was followed by a photo-call, which included a helicopter shot.
The party atmosphere subsided, as the pilgrims split into smaller groups, and processed slowly down the hill to the Garden of Gethsemane. Many bishops were visiting Jerusalem for the first time, and some of them had not thought this would ever be possible.
