MOTHERS’ UNION members came from all over Ripon & Leeds diocese to Ripon Cathedral for a Saturday afternoon of heritage activities. Members and children tried their hand at everything from flower arranging to Tudor dancing, making boxes to handbell ringing, painting eggs in the Ukranian Pysanky style (pictured) to pursuing angels around the cathedral on the “Angels and dragons trail”. Home-baked cakes and tea were produced by the Ripon Deanery MU.
The Dean of Ripon, the Very Revd Keith Jukes, said he was delighted to see so many people of all ages having such fun, and MU members said it had been a wonderful opportunity to get to know the cathedral better.
